Nuku’alofa – October 1, 2021: 6.20pm (Nuku’alofa Times): The third round of the Tonga Rugby Union Centennial Rugby Championship at Te’ufaiva Stadium tomorrow will be explosive as teams battle for the top spots in each pools of the men’s competition.
Vahe Kolo and Vahe Hahake will battle for the number one spot in the men’s Pool A while in Pool B the battle for top spots will be between island teams Vava’u, Ha’apai and ‘Eua.
Tournament director Aisea Aholelei said the battle for top spots will be exciting.
Both Vahe Kolo and Vahe Hahake have scored two bonus points wins each to be level on points.
Whoever wins tomorrow will go into the final against the winner of the Island zones.
While Vava’u has won two straight games so far both Ha’apai and ‘Eua are still in the running. That’s if they win their matches.
Vava’u will meet ‘Eua while Ha’apai takes on Niua.
The women’s competition is set to be straight forward, with Hihifo dominating so far.
